answers 0:Just curious ....answers 1:Yes. The tooth in question had already had a root canal 20 years ago and the doctor said he didn't know if it could be saved. I had it pulled.answers 2:Sadly No. All my root canal opinions turned into root canals.answers 3:are not getting A ROOT CANAL!!!! Dentist opt for to make money like each and every and distinct else so that they play with ppl's mouths through suggesting ROOT CANAL'S! it gained't help!!! you'll lose teeth besides and a minimum of two different tooth will fall out b/c of this 'a lot mandatory' root canal! save your self alot of time, money and embarrassment and get the dang teeth pulled!!! once u have a root canal, that individual same 'teeth' the dentist is making an attempt 2 'save' will fall out besides alongside with both tooth surrounding it! Roo! t canal's are valueless! (to the affected human being, no longer the dentist!)...answers 4:No,no, I haven't, but my dentist told me they are pretty successful, but sometimes they don't take. You always have the right for another opinion.I have not had one go bad. Remember they can be sensitive for awhile after. They remove the nerve and seal it off then crown them. The thing is to get it cleaned out proper. Weak bone, weak tooth that won't withstand a crown could be problems and may not be worth doing.answers 5:YES! Well as I recall, this dentist I was going to told me there was nothing wrong with my tooth other than a cavity so I let the jerk fill it. It continued to hurt and I'd call the office and he would have the receptionist tell me oh, just take tylenol, you are just being sensitive to the filling. I've had fillings in my life and they didn't hurt like this. I went to another dentist and he took one look and said "it's cracked!" He wanted to do a root canal but ! after so much trauma I held off, plus I really didn't like the! look of the second dentist.I called back my original dentist and they said he's on vacation. I sent him a nasty letter and told him that I wasn't paying his bill. I believe that he actually cracked my tooth with his drill. I never had to pay it. I ended up going to a dentist recommended by some people at my office and he did the root canal and put a crown on it. It's never really been the same. I have jaw pain off and on. I think I had some nerve damage....answers 6:IMO, root canals are such commonplace that I feel it's superfluous to get a second opinion as tho it were life-or-death surgery..answers 7:"BOB"~I thought it's very obvious that the reasoning behind getting a 2nd opinion for a RC is for the cost factor. Everyone knows it's several more times more expensive than merely getting a tooth filling
