Lady Laflin: I really appreciate both of your responses
Tory Clapper: Not in the Navy, in the Marines. My "C" school sucked (didn't have an A school). For me we did school **** during the day, got off- could do what we wanted. But there was just so much dumb **** happening it sucked in the end.
Damion Oleksa: I never said it was my main concern. I have less than a month until I ship and most of my questions and preparations have already occurred. I didn't say, "I am going to blow off school so I have more free time." or anything like that so I don't know where you get the idea that I am only concerned with my freedoms
Torri Tippey: Yes, yes, yes, and yes.Nuke school is basically a college campus where you can't study in the dorms. My buddies who went there said that it was like the Brainasium office from Grandma's Boy....tons of geeks with way too much money. But screw the video games: Charleston is an AWESOME town. Go down to market street, the beach a! t Folly Island, golf at Wild Dunes, Church Street theater, Friday afternoon parades at The Citadel, Melvin's Hamburgers, Tommy Condon's Pub (say hi to Christine for me)...Edit: Heh, listen to the Chief about the difficulty of that school! Most guys have little free time...but they do squander what free time they get...hence my list of things to do in Chas'n besides go to Best Buy and purchase geek gear...like the other 99% of nuke school....Show more
Travis Sherrock: While in Nuke School you'll have the opportunity to watch TV, play video games, talk to your girlfriend on the phone, go to the beach, etc etc etc... However Nuke School is the toughest program in the Armed Forces and the test you took was the initial weeding out, not everyone who goes to Nuke school will make it to the end. Therefore I recommend you make everything you listed as SECONDARY to focusing on passing the NUKE program.Navy Chief Navy Pride!Navy Recruiter1989 - presentActive Duty...Show more! p>
Cierra Gadbaw: Yeah trust me, I know I won't be getting m! uch free time, I was just curious
Charlotte Bryar: If your primary concern is how much freedom you'll have, you'll never make it through NPS.
