Paul Maymi: No. They are really just a toy. Don't waste your money on them, as you can buy a good regular machine for around $100.
Hubert Jestes: Junk, don't waste your money.Find an older, metal sewing machine at a thrift store or garage sale. Have it serviced or just clean and oil yourself according to the manual. You've now got something that will serve you for a long time, much better that the new plastic junk they sell today. Don't forget to buy new needles and good quality thread....Show more
