Maurice Breuning: Put some fuel stabilizer in the tank before you start it. Then get some new gas. If there is a next time, put the stabilizer in and let it run a bit before you park it.That gas drier doesn't take care of this: it is used to suspend possible water in the gas so it will mix with the gas and not go to the bottom of the tank. Straight water will not burn.
Antonia Boomershine: Drill a hole in the bottom of your gas tank and it will drain
Luther Plagmann: 6 weeks isn't bad. If you're that worried about it, mix some fresh fuel in there before you start it, or siphon the old gasoline out
Rona Ising: Six weeks is no big deal. Your car should run okay. You can always add some fresh fuel, but I don't think you'll have problems. Left for months, stale fuel can corrode the entire fuel system (including the tank) and even cause engine damage. Good luck....Show more
Davina Shindler: 6 MONTHS!!!!! not weeks, sorry!
Libby Berkovitch:! there is a water remover that they sale at any auto parts store. its Isopropyl based, and is less than $3. Then add some fresh gas and you will be fine.Stabilizer is used as preventative maintenance not as a fix.
Roland Stampley: shouldnt have gone bad that soon a bottle of fuel treatment and drive itshouldnt be a problem at all
Inez Relihan: if it will run still just drive it around religiously and get some fuel injector cleaner in it on your first fill upI still wouldnt worry to much after 6 months it may be OK with minimal trouble
