Joie Kemmis: You should see a doctor. Maybe have an ultrasound done if the doctor will allow it. Just tell the doctor all your symptoms. The doctor may have you take a urine test. Periods can sometimes make your breast sore and you can have pains in your stomach and get bloated from your period. So maybe you are not pregnant after all. Or maybe you will someday be on that TV show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant.
Alexandria Popik: 35
Silvia Stclair: i turned 21 eight days before my son was born i didnt use me turning 21 be an excuse to drink alcohol.
Nell Dipiero: There are lots of other birth control methods. If you think you might be in the situation, get o the pill; or there are injections or under-skin inserts that provide birth control. Mechanically, there is the diaphragm (a bit more complicated than a condom, need to use spermicidal gel too.)Basically, there is no magic method. If you have sex, either you are taking precautions, or you risk getting pr! egnant. Precautions may be medical, like the pill - hormones that prevent ovulation, etc. Or, they may be mechanical - a brrier like a condom or diaphragm that prevent sperm from reaching the uterus. If you have an "oops" (I.e. condom splits) there's the morning after pill, or Plan B. However, it's a very heavy dose of hormones that mess with body chemistry - should be taken only when you have no choice and other precautions failed. You can oonly conceive if you have sex during the right time - when you are ovulating. This typically happens about day 14 of your cycle, but the timing is not 100% so relying on the calendar is not safe either; it's more risky if your periods are irregular. Also, remember that not every episode of uprotected sex even at the right time causes pregnancy. The odds vary but typically about 1 in 5 or 6 - which is why there's a "trying to conceive" discussion area. This could lull a careless teenager into a false sense of security; "it didn't happen ! that time, so it won't happen". It will, eventually.Sex is lik! e Russian Roulette. It only takes one time, but which one? The more often you pull his trigger, the more likely that you get it. I would suggest getting onto the pill. Taken regularly as directed, it provides the best possible protection short of total abstinence.
An Cardine: go read up on fertility and when you are most likely to be fertile.. avoid sex at those times. If you are having unprotected sex at least have your partner "pull out" when he climax's. If he doesn't you're playing Russian roulette.
Jacques Vaquera: are you seriously dumb.???
Samara Siewers: i wouldn't do it - they don't want you taking cold medicine because of the alcohol content, why take the risk and drink. and even if you do, won't one drink just make you want to have another? that's the way it is with me, so i just didn't drink at all the entire pregnancy, it's not worth it. just my opinion though. i wouldn't if i were you - there will be plenty of time post-baby to drink...we! ll, not really, but we can all dream!
Tereasa Sorensen: well here is the thing. no one really knows how much is to much when it comes to fetal alcohol syndrome. Will it hurt the baby, most likely not, but is it really worth the chance? If I were you I would just have a virgin Margarita and enjoy a real one after the baby is born!Happy Birthday and good luck with the baby!
Norma Marsalis: I'm due May 7th and am 36 weeks and 4 days along. Since you are due 2 days after me, you'd be 36 weeks and 2 days along, turning 37 weeks on Friday the 18th. (3 weeks from the 18th is your due date/40 week mark, May 9th)Take care!...Show more
Germaine Tieken: 10 year's ago may due date was may 20 and i had my son may 19 so you would be 36 weeks. good luck and i just love Taurus
Leif Serabia: Honestly there are several different birth control devices to use, but if you really don't want to get pregnant and it sounds like you don't then you really should have protect! ed sex, or no sex at all. It doesn't matter how many methods you use at! once if your going to get pregnant you will.
Lynn Hollars: You really shouldn't. It may or may not harm the baby, but why take that chance? How about drinking a fruit non-alcoholic drink like a daquiri on your birthday, and wait until after you give birth to have a couple drinks to "celebrate your birthday".
Armanda Hertel: 36 weeks and 2 days... Good luck. Getting close!!
Monica Voltin: I would never do that. Why take the risk?
Willie Tun: Alcohol (wine, beer, or liquor) is the leading known preventable cause of mental and physical birth defects in the United States. When a woman drinks alcohol during pregnancy, she risks giving birth to a child who will pay the price â" in mental and physical deficiencies â" for his or her entire life.Yet many pregnant women do drink alcohol. It's estimated that each year in the United States, 1 in every 750 infants is born with a pattern of physical, developmental, and functional problems referred to as fetal a! lcohol syndrome (FAS), while another 40,000 are born with fetal alcohol effects (FAE).Signs and SymptomsIf you adopted a child or consumed alcohol during pregnancy and are concerned that your child may have FAS, watch for characteristics of the syndrome, which include:low birth weight small head circumference failure to thrive developmental delay organ dysfunction facial abnormalities, including smaller eye openings, flattened cheekbones, and indistinct philtrum (an underdeveloped groove between the nose and the upper lip) epilepsy poor coordination/fine motor skills poor socialization skills, such as difficulty building and maintaining friendships and relating to groups lack of imagination or curiosity learning difficulties, including poor memory, inability to understand concepts such as time and money, poor language comprehension, poor problem-solving skills behavioral problems, including hyperactivity, inability to concentrate, social withdrawal, stubbornness, impulsiven! ess, and anxiety Children with FAE display the same symptoms, but to a ! lesser degree.Diagnosis and Long-Term EffectsProblems associated with FAS tend to intensify as children move into adulthood. These can include mental health problems, troubles with the law, and the inability to live independently.Kids with FAE are frequently undiagnosed. This also applies to those with alcohol-related neurodevelopmental disorder (ARND), a recently recognized category of prenatal damage that refers to children who exhibit only the behavioral and emotional problems of FAS/FAE without any signs of developmental delay or physical growth deficiencies.Often, in kids with FAE or ARND, the behavior can appear as mere belligerence or stubbornness. They may score well on intelligence tests, but their behavioral deficits often interfere with their ability to succeed. Extensive education and training for the parents, health care professionals, and teachers who care for these kids are essential. How Much Alcohol Is Too Much? It's clear that abusing alcohol during pregnanc! y is dangerous, but what about the occasional drink? How much alcohol constitutes too much during pregnancy? No evidence exists that can determine exactly how much alcohol ingestion will produce birth defects. Individual women process alcohol differently. Other factors vary the results, too, such as the age of the mother, the timing and regularity of the alcohol ingestion, and whether the mother has eaten any food while drinking.Although full-blown FAS is the result of chronic alcohol use during pregnancy, FAE and ARND may occur with only occasional or binge drinking.Because alcohol easily passes the placental barrier and the fetus is less equipped to eliminate alcohol than its mother, the fetus tends to receive a high concentration of alcohol, which lingers longer than it would in the mother's system.Mothers who drink during the first trimester of pregnancy have kids with the most severe problems because that is when the brain is developing. The connections in the baby's br! ain don't get made properly when alcohol is present. Of course, in the ! early months, many women don't even know they're pregnant. It's important for women who are thinking about becoming pregnant to adopt healthy behaviors before they get pregnant.Women who abstain from alcohol in early pregnancy may feel comfortable drinking in the final months. But some of the most complex developmental stages in the brain occur in the second and third trimesters, a time when the nervous system can be greatly affected by alcohol. Even moderate alcohol intake, and especially periodic binge drinking, can seriously damage a developing nervous system.Prevention Is the KeyFAS can be completely prevented by not drinking any alcohol during pregnancy....Show more
Riley Migl: You would probably be about 36 weeks plus 2 days. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
Aldo Decurtis: It's really not worth it to have 1 drink and risk harming your baby. What's the point? Celebrate your 21st birthday after your healthy baby is born! Good luck!
Omar Ph! ipps: make it a virgin! celebrate your 21st after you've given birth. no one likes to be out and see a pregnant woman drinking alcohol.
Hipolito Rightmire: I am due May 17th & I'm 35 wks. & 1 day. You are 36 wks. & 2 days.
Helen Zafar: you shouldnt have any alcohol at all.. espiecially if you already know your pregnant. If you havent tested positive yet youll be fine to have one drink... if not i would stay away
Torri Tippey: 36 weeks and 2 days...your due date is exactly 40 weeks so just look at a calendar and subtract...hope this was some help to you...good luck with baby!
Foster Padgette: Birth control Morning after pill. There is other forms to help prevent besides pregnancy. Like spermicide and shots (another form of birth control. You should read up on this stuff instead of asking people here. You might get rude comments for simple questions.
Hollis Demasters: Drink 1 glass of wine instead. Margaritas are not a good idea.
Aubrey ! Tirri: Why wouldn't you use a condom..not having herpiegonasyphilaids i! s a wonderful thing. There are many forms of birth control, which you should have learned in health class.. which is taught in our area at the middle school level and high school. If you have not had these classes yet or have not learned this question already... then you should not be having sex right now.
Anibal Katayama: No. Margaritas contain tequila which is a very strong liquor. Just have a virgin one instead.
Charline Granes: Birth control pills, an IUD and so on, these aren't 100% effective though.
Lon Pennington: Ok so for the past four and a half months I have had a "pierod" but it's been a lot lighter, I also have had sore breast, head aches, dizzyness, back pain, my belly has gotten a little bigger and have passed out twice. I have taken 4 urain test and one blood test and all negative, my pierod was due last Friday but can two days ago and sence it stared I have had sharp pains in my belly like some one is poking it with a needle and also on! my vag. Am I pregnant?
Hermina Ketring: no amount of alcohol is safe to drink while pregnant, and if you do drink it, you're taking a BIG risk. You are now responsible for not only yourself, but the life/health of your unborn child. Don't be selfish....you will still be 21 after you have the baby, so drink all you want, at that time. Until then, enjoy your pregnancy and keep it healthy.
Raul Lushbaugh: LOL! These moms on here are super cautious! I wouldn't make a Habbit if drinking but a glass (wine) once in a great while won't hurt. My doctor said that it takes a lot of alcohol to risk fetal alcohol syndrome. He said that a glass maybe once every couple of months wouldn't do any harm. After the baby is born you can have your margarita...I can't wait for mine! Only one to three more weeks!! But I am breast feeding so I have to fit it in right after I feed the baby so that two hours later my system will be clean to feed the baby again....Show more
Lanita R! eichman: You avoid pregnancy the same way you would if it were your 135! th time. You use birth control and condoms. If it's too late for that, but still within 72 hours, you can get the morning-after pill, but that one is NOT meant to be routine birth control. It's meant for emergencies, like rape.If it's already past the 72-hour point, all you can do is hope for the best. You'll need to take a test when your period is due. Use your first morning urine, and test again a week later if the first one is negative. Of course, if you actually get your period, you are probably not pregnant. Then see the doctor for prenatal care or BIRTH CONTROL. The name for people who use the withdrawal method is parents.
Frances Macky: Just wait until you are not pregnant. Surely in this day you have tasted a margarita before.
Booker Warlick: test
Brian Freedland: You really should go to the doctor to find out if you're pregnant.
Stanton Villao: You can't avoid it. If you aren't going to have safe sex, don't have sex at all unless you a! re ready to be a mommy.
Lyman Gauld: Im due may 8th and on april 17th ill be 37 weeks so which means youll be 37 weeks on april 18th. we practically only have 3 more weeks to go . thank god.
Solomon Belback: 36 weeks and 2 days
Luis Farlow: an entire term being pregnant is seen to be from the tip of the thirty seventh week to the tip of the fortieth week. till now that's seen preterm and after postterm. while you're questioning approximately your due date the suitable thank you to determine that out is Naegals rule. initiate with the 1st day of your final neglected era ex. Nov. 13, 2005 subtract 3 months 11/13/2005 - 03/00/0000= 8/13/2005 Now upload 7 days 8/13/2005 + 00/07/0000=8/20/2005 Now upload 365 days 8/20/2005 + 00/00/0001 and in this occasion the due date could be Aug. 20, 2006....Show more
Lynn Hollars: there is no way to avoid it if you are not using protection, that's what it is for to protect you from getting pregnant not only that but fr! om STD's,of course not everything is guarantee unless it is broken but ! if you are not planning on getting pregnant then i suggest you use protection or you will find yourself with an un wanted pregnancy and no one wants to be answering questions about abortions here as many of us are against it.
Joni Ziak: How can a girl avoid being pregnant if its her first time to have sex without using protection (condom).Just curious
Arnoldo Budzynski: Casey J: I've bad short term memory due to a medication I was on when younger, weeks go by too fast for me to keep track off so I remember in months, it's just easier.
Asley Quickle: Personally I wouldn't... before I knew I was pregnant I had a few drinks and worried about them for months. The concern and stress wasn't worth it... however, I have heard and read studies done, (as well as spoke with my doctor) and was informed that one drink every so often is fine, preferably red wine. I'm not a doctor, though, so ask yours or your midwife and see what he/she says. And again, it's not alw! ays worth the stress and worry. You'll have about 9 months to wait and see and fear the worst....Show more
Kizzy Hett: I know I'm about 8 months along but I suck at converting from months to weeks (due to the incomplete weeks in each month) so, being due May 9th, how many weeks along would that translate into?
Lou Ravelo: Morning after pilloras he ejaqulates squeeze ur inner vaginal muscles real tight for 20 seconds and thus teh sperm wont be able to pass through...Show more
Boyce Gilhooly: dont do it
