Benny Stehno: I'd say that JYP is the best. (: SM just works their artistes too hard.1) 18 isn't too old, but if you want to debut earlier (considering that you get in), I'd suggest you audition as soon as possible. Also, this way, you still have lots of time to keep auditioning. (: If you don't get in.2) JYP looks for talent and passion rather than looks. SM focuses on looks. I'm not sure about the rest, but most probably they focus on talent.3) depends on how good you are! 6) Company's decision.7) The chances are higher than the usual live auditions, but you still have to go for the live auditions if you get selected via email. 8) I highly doubt that. Trainees have to train very hard, so you won't have time. 9) Singing and dancing of course. or some companies you have to learn languages as well.10) I guess so, but you have to make a choice if more than one company selects you. 12) Most likely you'll debut ! as a singer first. Then if you want to pursue acting, you can go for auditions.13) Nope. Not true. A lot of singers don't have good education because they drop school to pursue their dreams.14) If you can take the training, you'll probably debut someday. It's just a matter of time. A lot of trainees find the training too tough and quit halfway, so they never debut. 15) It's up to the company to decide if you're good enough to debut at that time.16) Yes. Especially for SM artistes. 17) I'm not sure about that, but SM is pretty tough on its trainees and singers. The other companies will treat you okay. 18) Not sure, but they'll probably email you and ask you to go for the second round of auditions. 19) It's kind of low. 20) Up to the company to decide, but sometimes members can decide as well. There are some questions that I can't answer, but hopefully this will help! Shawn Lelis: 1)I am 15 Years(male) im planning on auditioning when im 18 Is that to old? ! I think so, because people like Taemin from SHINee and Dongho ! from U-KISS are 16 and 15 and they already debuted. Also, it's going to take a while to train, so by the time you are done, you'll be around 22. After your 5th year of debuting, you'll be like 27. That's kind of old? Also Taemin entered the company when he was 12. 2) also for each entertainment like Jyp, Cube, YG, Sm, Jtunes what do they all look for like i know some look for fresh faces and etc : Good looking. They want someone tall and someone with big eyes like Jaejoong. If you aren't good-looking, you better have a lot of talent.3) How Long is Tranie life. Hopefully it 2 years i wanna debut early : Get real, Taeyeon from SNSD took 5 years to train, while Jessica took 7 1/2 years. Taeyeon won a contest for having the best vocal, but she still took a long time training.6)Also I want to be put into a Group is that you decision or does the company decide? I think so, but it's usually going to be that you'll be in a group. There are basically no solo artists in Korea and SMe! nt and JYP only do groups. Also, Kikwang from B2ST was originally a solo singer, but he thought it was too lonely, so they put him with B2ST.8)is there holidays when you dont have to come to practice and can go vist your parents out of the country? I don't know about holidays, but they give you a break. Super Junior got one and Eunhyuk went to Paris for a week, while Kyuhyun went to Japan.9)What will you practice when you make it as a tranie? Dance, singing, acting, and you'll also have to learn a language like Chinese or Japanese.11)How much money will you make yearly : Not a lot, but the company pays for everything, so you usually don't need money. They pay for your housing, food, hair care, etc.12) I want to also be an actor/singer what would i have to do?EX:Kim Hyun Joong,Yoona,Etc : Well you need the talent first, and you usually have to be good-looking like YoonA and Hyunjoong.13) is it True that you have to have a good education also because my parents tell me that w! ithout good education they look down on you : No, as long as you're not! flunking or anything. The only reason they would is probably so the fans and anti-fans won't look down on you.14) Also if you be a tranie does that mean your gonna debut someday? . if not what do they do do they kick you off the traning program? : It might take years for you to debut. Not all the trainees can debut, though.15) How much effort do you neeed to put into the traning program? if you want to debut early or is it up to C.E.O to deicide when he thinking of making a new group : Both. The better you work as a trainee, the more likely the CEO will recognize you. It all depends on timing and such.16) is a singer life very hard. : Depends, are you good with 2 hours of sleep and harsh criticism from netizens?17) Also what entertainment is much easier to join? and which treats you better. : JYP and SM are known for their slave contracts. DSP is good, but they aren't good at promoting their idols. The bigger companies like JYP and SM will probably treat you worse, but you! 'll have a greater chance in debuting. 19) What is the % chance of a person debuting in the music industries? Not high, I'm guessing.20 ) also how does a group disband is it up to the manager or is it up to the group members : Your contract. I only answered the questions I could. Here's what I would do : I would audition as soon as possible. You never know, you might fail your first audition and would have to keep auditioning for years. Also, the industry seems to favor younger stars better. The maknaes are usually the most popular. I would audion for SM because I have the highest chance in being sucessful. Have you noticed every SM group has done well and are super popular? (DBSK, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x)). If you have no talent and can't sing or rap or dance, I hope you are really good-looking. Yoona and Goo Hara don't really do anything for their group song-wise, but they are the ones that get the group noticed and well-known. If you aren't the best looking, I! suggest you practice on your singing and dancing. Yesung and Daesung a! ren't the best-looking members of their group, but they have amazing voices. Haven't you ever seen those shows where the MC is like "I knew when I saw this group, that you would have the most talent" or something like that.Hope I helped and good luck....Show more
Aldo Decurtis: You seem very curious and seem to want to have a control over things. Haha. But I should voice my opinion. Knowing Spanish is a bonus. Learning now to play an instrument is not necessary, but it can be a bonus. Chances on debuting are small. Especially for YG. They don't debut groups every 6 months or something, or even every year probably. Some trainees may have left realising that once they may debut, they would be in their late 20s or something.
Aron Ramu: For the auditon for singing do you have to dance to like for jyp and sm and yg because i was watching jyp auditon and most of them danced which i dont really understand (Question re-asked because some people couldnt understand it)
Dawn Saha: I can't answer all of these, but what I can say is do NOT go for SM Entertainment. They work their boy bands really hard and treat them unfairly (for proof look at Dong Bang Shin Ki or Super Junior).Out of all of them I would pick YG because they're pretty popular and I've never seen any of their bands leave or complain about treatment. And now i'll try to answer some others :)1) I don't think 18 is too late but a lot have started younger.6) The company will usually decide but it's more likely to be in a group than to go solo (notice how many groups there are in Kpop compared to soloists)8) There are holidays and times like that but not many, it depends on the company but most will have practice or work most days of the year.10) Of course! It means you might have to turn one down but it shouldn't be an issue.12) I'm not too sure about this with some companies, but some of them will try to place you in acting roles so you get more publicity for the group.16) It! is, I'm sure. You have to work so many days of the year and barely see! your family unless they're in the city. Even then, you're spending a lot of time at practice. 17) All I know here is SM does not treat them well. I've said this but making sure you get it.Please remember I've not actually been in a Kpop band, but been a fan for many years and I've come to know a lot about it.Good luck!! :)...Show more
Freeman Rutkin: 1)18 is not too old2)well,many people say SM like fresh looks. They can't blame for that, because good-looking is a bonus plus-plus for the artist(so they will gain many fans and the company gain profits). But,the most important is you have the talent to become an entertainer.3)depend on you.If you slow OR lazy-butt,it will 5-9 years training. If you fast and very talented,2-5 years.4)just do the things you audition for.If you audition for singing, then sing.If you audition for dancing, then dance in front of them. But if Sm,they'll have rhythm test and you have to dance(whatever style you want). And the instrument, you have to b! ring by yourself5)normally,there will be three stages. And perform for what you audition for(singing,dancing,acting)6)the company decide.7)it'll take a long time for them to look at your email coz there's thousands of audition email they have to check.Yes,they respond your email if they accept you.Just,it will take a very long time.In Y!A,some of them say 2 weeks to 4 weeks.8)there'll be holiday, but not many, because you have to spend most of your time training.9)singing,dancing,and sometimes acting.10)yes.11)you mean when you debut?oh buddy....you think being artist will have a big-bucks to receive?you know, those money will be divided for your CEO's company, the producer, the lyric composer, etc and divide to each of your group member.so,the money you'll get is less BIG than you think.Dont deceived by what you see on the TV screen, being singer is hard job and earn less money.12)then,in the audition form, state that you also want acting.13)Many artists actually really value educa! tion. Many of them regret for not finishing their high school education.! So,depend on you whether you want to continue your school or not.Dont worry, while you become trainee, they'll send you to school(if you want). But,it will make exhausted because some of the school's schedule clash with your training time.14)Imagine you become a trainee, and there's a lot of trainees already there(in the company)before you,so?very hard to debut. They will kick you out if you show you're lazy or too slow in progressing.15)how many effort?Must be the best! So,they can see that you have the passion16)very,very hard man.B2ST said,it's a painful addiction.Once you go into it,it's very hard to see turning-back road. And,you have to sacrifice your enjoy time of as teen(they said they really want to experience becoming teen that are free and enjoy).SNSD taeyeon also said she really wish she can have a normal life,go to college.Rain the big-star also said,he had considered to retire from his career because it really drive him to exhaustion, but, his great passion in music st! ops him from doing that.17)No one actually know that. Some say SM bad,Some say JYP's officers are no manners, some say YG is not good at marketing and bla bla bla.you have to choose one for your own, that suit your image.18)That?sorry,I dont know. You can research Y!A,because I saw many people asking this same question like you.19)No one knows that, all you can do is do your best, shine what you got to them.As long there's a chance, just try. It's unpredictable.20)both of them....Show more
