Entrez votre numéro d’identification personnel (NIP).

why gay marriage is wrong?

Wilfredo Muldoon: Well i agree....someone needs to come up with a pill that can cure the brain of homosexuality!

Angelyn Ducas: Obama's plan is to downgrade the US to second world status and so far he's succeeding.

Arlen Lopiccalo: as a results of fact all politicians ought to compliment him in the event that they prefer to attraction to the persons who nevertheless worship him. Ronald Reagan replaced into probable the worst element that ever surpassed off to the u . s .. Our modern conflict on terror.... conflict on Ronnie's freedom combatants. Our modern financial issues..... Ronnie's North American Accord and normalizing commerce with China. ll you ought to do to get a actual answer on your question is comprehend the full purpose of a political figures is to earnings help besides they might....Show more

Dewey Heersink: gay marriages offer no benefit to society. heterosexual marriage, in general, does. Of course one can find examples of straight mar! riage gone awry or providing no social benefit, but I dar say that no one can find an example of a gay marriage or union providing positive benefit for society.

Forest Duttinger: You left out the fact that Gay couples who get married could adopt kids and raise them in a loving home rather than letting those kids be raised in an orphanage.I do not agree with homosexuality, but since I am not Gay I do not have that right to tell people what they can and cannot do. Homosexuals have the same right to pursue happiness just like you and me. For those of you who say that God says it is wrong, Each and everyone of you do something everyday that God thinks is wrong. What makes one sin worse than another?...Show more

Nannie Kasee: I think it would be awesome if Obama had Reagan's tax code and the deficit went way down.

Hugo Pittari: Because the BIBLE says it's wrong.

Tamatha Neubaum: haha, nice.

Lulu Bukowiecki: Pardon me, I am busy declawing and shaving! my gerbil.Actually, 06) is correct. The point of marriage is! produce children. Apparently you are familiar with the rules of marriage in the Roman Catholic church. The elderly are now being allowed to marry, but infertility is grounds for annulment.Frankly, with a close to trillion dollar A YEAR deficit, soaring gas prices, and two freaking wars being fought in the Middle East, it just thrills me to death my government is taking the time out to discuss a hopelessly lost constitutional amendment to end gay marriage.Just the best use of their time I can think of.The whole thing, if you have not gathered yet, is so freaking stupid I could spit. Oh yeah, and I am heterosexual. You got me man. I don't understand it either....Show more

Darwin Ecton: Values" BQ: Why is an openness to new ideas considered open-minded, but being closed off to old ideas isn't close-mindedness?

Indira Wassell: I don't suppose the reasons are too different than republicans who have chose not to seek another term.*

Hipolito Rightmire: It actu! ally isn't unnatural at all. Insenstive and Black Fedora animals in nature frequently engage in homosexual behavior, therefore homosexualtiy is not unnatural. True if an entire species of animal were to only mate homosexually it would die out but we aren't talking about species as a whole we are talking about individual members of a species. Individual animals as well as people engage in homosexual behavior. Preventing gay people from marrying serves only to disenfranchise a segement of our population rather than preserve our species since gay people will engage in gay sex with or without a marriage license.Logical 373 your arguements are anything but logical. You have taken many of society's ailments and said that they are bad and that is why homosexuality is unnatural. You have stated that all these woes are bad and I agree they are, but no where in your arguements at all have you provided any evidence about how gay marriage causes any of this, in fact the only evid! ence you provide is that heterosexual couples cause this.Black Fedora, ! you say that straight marriages have something beneficial to offer society. But if we are to accept Logical 373's arguement then actually we see that they may not be beneficial a majority of the time. I don't actually believe that just pointing out a valid point from another user's arguement. But your agruement is without logic as well, because currently our country by and large does not allow gay marriage, so it is impossible to say that it has nothing good to contribute to society if it has not been allowed. However, in other countries, England, Canada, Spain allowing gay marriage did not have a negative impact on society so what little evidence we have from a global perspective seems to mitigate your arguement.Rob and EK are arugements are similar so I will address them together. Even if we take for fact that the Bible condemns homosexulaity (which we really can't look up the issue in wikipedia for detailed explanation) our country is a nation of many religions, not! just Christianity. Some religions accept homosexulaity, so one could argue that not allowing gay marraige is actually violating their freedom of religion, although that seems rather an extreme case to make. A much more practical objection is that the constituion states that the is a mandatory seperation of church and state. So legally speaking we can't use religion at all to condemn or support gay marriage, therefore both your arguements are moot points. Finally I would like to say that gay marriage is actually a right guranteed by the founders of our country. The document that establishes our political independence from england the "Declartioin of Independence" states that all men have the rights to "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness". Marriage is essential to invidiuals pursing their happiness. To deny two consenting adults that love each other the right to marry, is to deny their pursuit of happiness and thus truly violates one of the core tenents this nation ! was founded upon....Show more

Keven Drumgole: Being liberal isn't! about being open-minded. Liberalism means personal freedom - everyone with the same rights, same privelages, and same responsibilities. That means the same rules and law, like marriage, being available for absolutely everyone. Its personal freedom, meaning a person is free to be gay, and free to marry another gay person. The people you're thinking of when you say "lib" though, are NOT liberal....Show more

Sibyl Siwik: ..the mindset in American has been brainwashed by 30 years of liberal 'progressive' education..the voter of today will believe anything the libtards put out there........

Imogene Neiswander: why do people insist that gay is not natural ,all of my life i have been in nature working with animals and plants and it is more common there than with people.in all species including insects and fish.and as far as people are concerned in all great ancient civilizations it was regarded as totally normal .the only culture that has problems with it is the recent ! followers of Jehovah and Allah(the same God)and if any thing can be called unnatural it is them, and as far as fertility is concerned ,the effects of overpopulation is destroying this planet. And Bush ,Kissenger ,and prince Philip have all mentioned bringing down the world population by 60%so what is the point of being fertile if the authorities are considdering genocide...Show more

Penelope Armond: God say multiply. Now tell me how can they do that?

Percy Seiger: Making a law that states marriage is for a man and a woman will separate our country. Even though I am straight, I really don't care whether or not there is a law that bans gay marriage. I am pretty sure that Bush will try to send that bill to congress again and it WILL fail again.

Hye Caulley: because God doesn't really approve of it.

Antone Youla: No. More likely he's going go into rehab.

Pattie Vold: No it's not proof. More Republicans are not seeking reelection than Democrats. ! The Democrats are getting more air play because there are more Democra! ts in office right now. It looks like there is a problem but there isn't. The Republicans not seeking reelection outnumber the Democrats 3:1.That being said, I would like all the extremists in our government to call it quits. I'm tired of all of them regardless of party. If they don't want to work together, then I want them out....Show more

Evelin Turlich: No they are just going into hiding untill the American public calms down and forgets. Then they will come out again.

Garry Ohmen: Яepublicans are going to get destroyed in November, yet all they do is deny it. They do that with a lot of things that they're afraid of.

Toby Caswell: Amazing how dems on Y/A read this then skipped it.

Bryan Avinger: Reagan's policies created ( NET ) job increase of about 21 million. Obama's is?Reagan's policies brought the unemployment down to 5.5% from the Carter administration. Obama's seen how many months now with stagnant unemployment?Reagan's policies brought! about one of the biggest economical expansions in history. Obama has now seen the U.S. credit rating get downgraded a 2nd time. first time in U.S. history to have it down graded once, but now twice.===> I'm not tooting Reagan's horn as much as I'm trying to figure out why dems toot Obama's.53 days to go....Show more

Hal Palowoda: You speak my language!!!!! At last, an intelligent person writes!!!!!!!!!!!!P.S. Oh yeah, writer of "God doesn't approve....etc.", because we know what God approves of or doesn't approve of, don't we? And no one EVER does what God doesn't approve of, do they?PPPS. Is it just me, or did some readers not get your point? Did some not get the sarcasm? Did some not read your whole "question"? Oh! why am I not surprised?and another post script: What an evil, evil, unChristian-like thing to say mr. writer of "the gays have not contributed" garbage....I know two women who are married. They are excellent parents of a well-adjusted, intellig! ent daughter who is straight. One woman is a police officer. She has ! saved lives many times! Her partner is an artist, beautifying the world. And what about Michaelangelo? Or my dentist? Or my grandson's pediatrician. Or my prom date, back in '65, or...or...or....Kepp your hateful, unChristian thoughts to yourself. Gays are born that way and God don't make no junk!!!!...Show more

Kim Gerbino: although I tend to think you are exhibiting some unnatural sarcastic tendencies, in general you have everything exactly right...gay marriage is unnatural...in fact gay people in general are unnatural...as is Britney Spears, which is there should also be a Constitutional amendment banning her from marrying anyone...

Cherlyn Tefera: Reagan gave us our worst economic collapse since the Great Depression in October 1987... until we let George W. Bush be president.Obama's economic growth may not be as impressive, but at least it's stable. Besides, Democrats in Congress never hated and opposed Reagan like the Republicans in Congress do with ! Obama....Show more

Chet Nozick: The Dems want to destroy the middle class.DTG

Dorinda Metzer: I will compliment and every point you have.1) Being gay is natural. There are even homosexual behaviour within animals. Homosexuality is natural as it helps to reduce the population of the world.2) How is this possible? You just can't turn gay if you hang out with a gay person. I know some people who are gay in my school and I don't think they've turned anyone gay...3) This will only happen if people are crazy enough... but there are dog-lovers out there who love their dogs more then anything in the world. 4) Who said blacks can't marry whites? It happens...5) Whoever said this was even possible? Are you trying to say that every body in the world would have a secret desire to be gay? 6) Homosexuality (as said before) helps to bring down the population. The world doesn't need more children... we need less... there is less land on the Earth and the old people can take car! e of themselves...So I conclude that if you got a problem with gay peop! le, keep it to yourself. It's not up to you to decide how the world works... gay people are here for a reason and if you're not bothered to search for the reason then just go to your everday things... Bethany Blocker: Americans r soooooooo crazy, how can u even think about that,The male have a certain role in the family & the female have a different one,so a normal family needs both, but ur problem that u dont want any difference between them, and the funny thing is that u all think thats civilization & u beleive it,u fight to say that male&female r the same,NO,they r not, they r totally different, each one was created to do a special role in life,,men work to get money and protect the family,,,and women r the qweens of the house and they take care of the man and raise&teach kids, which is a very important role, thats the nature even if u dont like it.but lets see what happened when ppl! changed nature:Women go to work most of the time and dont raise their kids or take care of their husbands properly which resulted in loose family ties, kids learning from the street and dont respect their parents and dont care about them, girls get pregnant and have kids without mariage cause they think they r free to sleep with anyone ,and cause the mom is not there to give advice, she is at work!!!Men cant find work cause women r taking the jobs(a lot of places like to hire women cause they r more pretty and atract more clients. And now ppl r demanding to legalize gay marriage, to make the world more upsidedown .I think u guys beleive that u can put new rules for life, oposit to the nature ,and this will be the begining of the end for ur civilization....Show more

Lucille Saetteurn: I'm not sure if he is scared about losing or scared about being indicted on Federal charges. I mean, afterall, he IS a kennedy!

Terrell Lawman: i think this is the best answer01) Be! ing gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things l! ike eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Tyrone Disanti:

Erin Arron: Yes, tunnel vision with slavery at the end of th! e tunnel is where liberals are headed.

Dwight Siniard: " I'm not tooting Reagan's horn..."That's good because you really don't know what you are talking about. For starters, you are comparing the total job performance of a president who has been in office 3 and a half years to someone who served two full terms. Second, the unemployment rate at this point in Reagan's presidency was 7.5%. There was a period of 59 months where the unemployment was over 7% and 10 months where it was over 10%. In fact, the average unemployment rate for Reagan's first term was higher than Obama's. According to the BLS, under Reagan 16.3 million jobs were created, not 21 million. As for your statement "Reagan's policies brought about one of the biggest economical expansions in history.", I will repeat what I said upfront: 3.5 years vs 8 years....Show more

Brittanie Zakutney: I think you have answered your own question. I'd hate to see what is allowed next - polygamy.

Lewis Ranft: Bad news for you.....you can't fix stupid, so you just have to live with your handicap. At least you live in a superior, self fulfilling world!

Roosevelt Pendill: ...or indicted.you pick.

Garrett Detone: You obviously either seek a stump from which to preach your vile filth or you haven't thought this through completely. There is no natural way for a gay "union" to be of any significance. It is strictly a game for those too immature to face life and facts. Even ignorant animals know which gender to mate with.byderule (the writer below) has no idea what he is speaking about. If animal species were homosexual only, they would cease to exist...see they can't even figure out what is directly before them....they're so whacked out and bitter....Show more

Codi Manchel: No. Conservatives try to "conserve tradition" like marriage being between man and a woman. That was the trad! ition.Liberals are those who want to change our tradition I.E. legalization of gay marriage. That is a Liberal idea.Civil Rights, womens suffrage, all changes in tradition, all Liberal.Free speech, including burning the American flag, all Liberal ideas. All changes in tradition. Before you couldn't question the church. Now we have many to question. Liberalism. In our nation.

Family Pressure?

Delora Struzzi: It could actually affect him in the opposite direction. If he feels too pressured to propose it may take him longer. He wants to do it on his time and if he thinks he's being told what to do, he may hesitate. They have good intentions I guess, I would tell them to back off. The more attention they draw to it, the more it may cause him to drag his feet.

Joan Stavropoulos: Sweet time? Make sure that you know you deserve someone that values marriage and commitment. Getting married should be on the top of the list of the guy you love. Why would you want to "settle" for a man that needs to be swayed by anyone.Think seriously about where this is leading. You deserve to be a wife, not a long term girlfriend.

Curtis Josef: my experiences has been that it has been negative. The couple should decide on their own what is best for them and when. Family pressure will only lead to arguments about what his family thinks and what her family thinks and next thin! g you know there is a break up or divorce at a later time because of the pressure. Once your married there is the pressure to have children, buy a house and it goes on and on.

Coralie Goldsberry: Sure peer pressure and family pressure has an effect!

Gertrude Darke: Family support means a lot. However you want him to ask you because he sees in his minds eye a future for the both of you. Being together for years does not qualify or equals marriage proposal. But love honesty, respect and shared ideals does.

Bernie Cerra: You do NOT want to set a precedent with his family of their pressuring you. Then they'll think they have the right to decide when to have kids, and how to raise them, and in a few years you'll be posting questions about how to get the in-laws off your back. This is between the two of you.You say you both know you're going to get married; is that because you've talked about it?Have you asked him about this? Does he have good reason to wait? (If ! he's in college, for instance, it makes more sense to wait unt! il you're both financially stable.)As others have said, pressure from people to do something is often counter-productive.People will often resist doing something they want to do, just because other people seem to think they have the right to make their decisions for them.If what you're really saying is that the family IS pressuring him, then try to get them to stop. Tell them you'll marry when you're both ready.Showing him that you are a united front with him will help him see that you and his family aren't going to be ganging up on him for the rest of his life.If he fears this, it would make him hesitate to put himself in that position. The more I read your question, the more ambiguous I find it.Are you asking whether you should get the family to pile on, or are you asking if their piling on is actually preventing him from committing?Anyway, it's a common myth these days that people can control others. You can't force people to do things....Show more

Buddy Ardd: Someti! mes too much pressure will cause the opposite of a desired effect (I.E. you want your boyfriend to propose). By your question, can we safely assume that the subject of marriage comes up quite often at family gatherings and at your home (you are both living together, right)? Give him some space...and the 'occasional' hint. If nothing changes, then it is time for you to reevaluate your priorities and your relationship with him. Good Luck!...Show more

What is the different between environment and nature?

Dick Maisenbacher: Our planet has many types of environments but all of them together make up the natural world or nature. Environments change with geography and latitude but are still part of nature. When you talk about food it is usually done in arable land but the repercussions of how this land is handled extends into the ocean and to uncultivated wilderness. How one environment is harmed harms all.

is eating less meat better for the environment?

Floyd Labuda: I hunt and eat wild game, I fish and eat it. My mom is a pescatarian but doesn't look down on people who eat meat.I think it a personal interest and shouldn't be attacked by others if you eat meat.

Coleman Ocegueda: As you don't eat meat, I'm sure you don't care for hunting. I'm interested in knowing how it sits with you in comparison to eating farm-raised animals, though. Is it less cruel to hunt food than it is to raise neutered animals in pens that are fed processed foods?Bonus question: do you feel that catching fish in the wild for consumption is more ethical than farm raising fish?...Show more

George Dingeldein: Ever since I was little I've wanted to be a chef. But this past year, after watching the video 'Meet you Meat', I've changed my ways and I am now a vegetarian. The thing is I still want to be a chef. I think it is wrong to be one and cook meat, do you agree? Also, will it be hard to find a job as one?

Bo Perham: There are to! ns of places where you can apprentice to be a vegetarian or vegan chef. Which means that there are a lot of places that you can work in that field. I'd suggest that you do that rather than enrolling in a cooking school as you'll save money and as it is a specialized field. So you'll gain more from the time you put in and get paid!...

Nell Dipiero: unnecessary death regardless of purpose. You don't need to do any of this killing. Fishing is particularly cruel, as are bad shots (although I'd hope you don't have too many of those). i know there's a lot of talk about how you need to hunt deer to maintain their populations, then you need to hunt wolves and other apex predators to maintain their populations etc, but I'm going to go with it's bs. Humans through hunting especially in the last 70,000 years have caused the extinctions of so many animals. And what's it all for? You don't need to eat meat (you'd be so much better off if you did not), and nature manages population! s far better than we can. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases! /2014/06/14060...http://www.cracked.com/article_17504_6-species-wev... I think what you're doing is no better. You have access to food that's not animal-sourced. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/animal-emotion...http://www.unleashed.org.au/animals/fish.phphttp://www.thenazareneway.com/vegetarian/fishing.h...Just as chimpanzees hunt and eat meat not for nourishment, but for social status as feasts, the evidence points towards similar for people. Throughout history it's been a symbol of dominance over others, gluttony and wealth, and the fact that it involved death was not lost upon people, and it was often eaten in Spring, to symbolise the death that winter brings and the rebirth Spring brings. It's just sheer gluttony....Show more

Agustina Stimmel: There are more and more cafes and restraunts that are vegetarian and vegan opening up all the time so if you want to be a vegetarian chef go for it. http://www.foodgod.com.au/1952http://www.animalliberationyouth.org/arti! cles/ctc_...http://www.yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/the_white_...http://www.eatability.com.au/au/melbourne/cuisines...http://www.vegetarianfood.com.au/restaurants_melbo...http://www.bestrestaurants.com.au/restaurants/VIC-...THese links are to vegetarian restraunts in Mebourne Australia and Kurma is a well known Australia Vegetarian chef http://www.findyoga.com.au/workshopDisplay.asp?Wor...Dubbed as 'Australia's Vegetarian Guru', Kurma Dasa has been writing cookbooks, teaching students around the world and hosting internationally broadcast TV shows for over thirty years. His books have sold over one million copies. Kurma will be teaching his special brand of eclectic, gourmet vegetarian cuisine at Govindas on October 8th.(see below for details) Kurma Dasa was born in England, moving to Australia with his parents in 1964. He started his cooking career in the Sydney kitchens of the Krishna movement, where he began by cutting vegetables, grinding fresh herbs and spices, and ass! isting in the preparation of their famous Sunday Feasts. Follow your dr! eam and don't be put off vegearian chefs are breaking new ground all over the world. I disagree with David L in Melbourne there are 100's of vegetarian cafes and eating houses with Soul Mama in St. Kilda a real biggie. The owners recently won awards and they stated they wanted to open a restraunt where no animal would be killed. there are also lots of cooking schools pening to teach people to cook vegan and vegetarian food - its a big niche market http://www.nadineabensur.com/cookeryclasses.htmlAlso my friend who wanted a vegetarian chef was willing to pay double the hourly rate - there are a lot more restraunts now that are vegetarian and vegan and are wanting vegetarian/vegan cooks/chefs so dont be put off....Show more

Abel Adger: well i know they're made out of soy duh! i meant like how do they make it and does it have anything else in it and is can it make you break out?

Delmer Pectol: With all the answers, some of which nibbled around the edge, I'm surprise! d that nobody mentioned Starling, the physiologist best known for his law of the heart. Starling figured that, for every step up the food pyramid, there is about a 90% loss of energy. For example, 1000 lb of grass can support 100 lb of grasshoppers. They, in turn, can support 10 lb of insect-eating birds, which are enough to feed 1 lb of hawk. Looked at it another way, a certain acreage can grow wheat for you but it would take about 10 times as much to grow enough to make the equivalent amount of an animal protein for you to eat. Therefore, vegans generally require 1/10 the land that pure carnivores do. Don't worry about getting your protein from plants. If you mix both grains and legumes, you will get the amino acids you need....Show more

Alisa Kaleiwahea: Vegan-ism is better for the environment. The meat industry is responsible for one-fifth of the damage that is being caused by global warming. Rainforests are being cut down in order to house cows being bred for sla! ughter. Not to mention, the amount of grains we produce just to feed the! animals we are going to slaughter anyway would be enough so that nobody in the world would ever have to starve again. And nobody can use the argument that if we didn't eat them, the cows would multiply and we'd have a bigger problem. We are breeding them so we can eat them. If we stop breeding, there will be a lot fewer of them, and therefore, less pollution, less world hunger, less irresponsible and meaningless damage to our planet. Please, please, please read this (it's fairly short):http://www.alternet.org/environment/40639...Show more

Jules Ashbach: hm, i dont really know.. maybe SOY?

Shelley Stevens: Would be totes for it if all the animals were Denial (Daniel) clones.

Raymundo Kyser: There are cooking schools that are vegetarian, but there aren't many. I do see the ads in the back of vegetarian magazine. As for the job market for a vegetarian or vegan chef, I can't tell you about that. It would depend where you live and the options in that city. Th! e school you went to would likely know where the jobs were....Show more

Lawana Neemann: if you think it would be be good for the environment to not eat animals, than why did god make animals out of meat?

Sammy Hatzenbihler: Vegan, since the raising of animals for food is responsible for the creation of more greenhouse gases than all forms of transportation combined.http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=20772...Animal agriculture (including dairy and eggs) produces enormous amounts of toxins which pollute the water, air and soil.http://www.foodandwaterwatch.org/food/factoryfarms...http://www.grist.org/article/parker1/...Show more

Becky Mosena: My guess would be soy.

Rosio Pasculli: None of the above.

Cletus Crotts: going vegetarian! less meat wont help at all!

Elvie Drumgoole: Ohh just because they don't eat it doesn't mean they can keep their opinions to themselves, thus I'm posting in a soon to be whine packed thread.

Christ! y Tirabassi: Vegan is the best for the environment, then vegetarian. If! you want to help the environment then eat as few animal products as you can (animal products including eggs and dairy). Eating beef impacts the environment worse than anything, so I know a few people who gave up beef but continue to be omnivores.

Felipa Nosis: y wuld it be

Clemente Schoeck: Possibly soy

Boris Hadsall: uh...soy

Phil Kuarez: of course!

Laveta Fathy: Vegetarian Starter KitPhysicians Committee for Responsible Medicinehttp://www.pcrm.org/health/veginfo/vsk/

Lorelei Lilburn: Soy milk and rennet (maybe vegetable, maybe animal), and maybe some coloring. Depending on the kind of cheese, there may also be salt and other additives. The ingredient part of the food label will tell you exactly what's in it.

Lanita Reichman: No it is not wrong to cook meat. When cooked right it is delicious. lolHaving said that unless you specificly work at a vegetarian restaurant (of which there will be few or none at all depending on where yo! u live.) it is going to be very hard to be a vegetarian and not asked to cook meat. No one will ask you to eat it but certainly cooking it is going to be part of the job description. The only thing I could think of would become a pastry Chef they don't cook meat.If you are Vegan just forget the whole thing. lolAs a side note you better think long and hard before becoming a Chef (being a vegetarian or not) because it is a very hard job both physically and mentally and the pay is very poor and you are on your feet for 10-12 hours a day and you always have to work nights (some times until late!) weekends and all holidays. This can really kill your social life. If you don't just love it and are willing to make very large sacrifices for your love of it then I would advise against it. In fact, I advise agaisnt it for most people. Just cook at home and enjoy it and do something less stressful that pays more money for work....Show more

Byron Fortmann: It may be, but any signif! icant amount. A lot of vegetarian rhetoric focuses on the greater land ! use needed for cattle farming compared to grain. But what they ignore, or simply don't know, is that cattle is raised on land that is not suitable for grain. Since cattle can eat grass or hay, they don't need rich soil, they can live just fine in places where the soil is too sandy or too rocky for a good grain crop. Some cattle is grain fed, at least just before slaughter, but that grain is generally low quality. The grain fed to cattle is an option, it's a luxury and could be done away with if the market would support that....Show more

Lanita Reichman: Soy and oil (canola or palm, usually). You'll also find casein (milk ingredient) in some of them as well as preservatives and salt.Cheese like Tofutti are LOADED in sodium, so be weary. There are also vegan cheeses made with large amounts of palm oil/canola oil.EDIT: Soy cheese does NOT contain enzymes, therefor they are always vegetarian. Enzymes are used in dairy cheeses, in the coagulation process. Like I said before, t! hat doesn't mean all soy cheeses are vegan but I'm not sure that's what you're concerned about....Show more

Raymon Fiene: Soy, I think.Probably other things too, so check the ingredients.

Norine Lomonte: Eating less meat isn't good for the environment or you because number one, your body needs its iron plus other nutrients that aren't found in pills and number two, even if you were to stop eating, thousands more will continue so the environment is still in harm's path. All said with respect. Luck to you and your choice.

Solomon Belback: sure, it could be no longer uncomplicated to appropriate cooking meat in case you ought to no longer style it. yet you ought to in all probability eyeball in spite of in case you had cooked it properly and in case you had somebody else style it for you then you definitely ought to appropriate your technique. Why no longer grow to be a vegetarian or vegan chef? pass to San Francisco, l. a., or long island and there are variou! s veggie eating places that serve connoisseur faire....Show more

! Boris Hadsall:

Von Houskeeper: soy

Gaylord Barragan: this raises so many issues.i don't think anyone who is a vegetarian or vegan would ever agree with hunting for sport. however, i do know that in some cases, hunting is necessary. eg deer in the uk. we (humans that is) killed all the wolves here in britain, and there is no other predator left now for the deer, so they need to be hunted to keep the population under control. i know this is necessary, it's not done because someone out there has bloodlust, it's done because otherwise, the entire ecosystem would be in chaos.hunting for sport, just to prove you are a "big shot" and "look at me, im so clever, i killed a lion" .. i really disagree with.fishing, the same. fishing just to catch a big fish for the fun of it.. i think is really cruel. you are putting the animal through so much stress just to have your bit of pleasure. fishing in order to eat? i understand. you tend to catch a lot more different fish than ! is commerically available, these species of fish are not endangered because, guess what? they're not commercially fashionable like cod, salmon and tuna. fish farming. i understand is necessary, but there are plenty of fish out there that taste like cod, but if its not cod it's not wanted. really they should ban fishing on some species for a while to let their populations grow again, before we have a situation like the anchovie in futurama.so many fish get wasted because they are caught in the net but arent what the fisherman are after (because they are deemed by our economy as worthless) its rather tragic. so fish farming is a solution. you keep the kind of fish you want in a certain place, so that (theoretically) no other fish gets wasted when you come to catching them.at the end of the day you're going to get a load of answers from angry non-meat eaters who are indignant and believe that no one on earth should eat animals.. but thats not a solution either, you cant force ! people to do something that they don't want to do. however massive cons! umption of meat is a huge environmental as well as ethical problem. think about all the land necessary to raise cattle, they need a lot of room to graze. not to mention all the methane they produce. anyway, back to hunting. if it is done for food, and not for fun, it doesn't bother me as much. the animal had a life, as opposed to the inside of a cage. im still not saying i agree with it and it is something i would choose to do. but i do know that if (as a lot of people think/want it to happen) the apocalypse arrives in some manner or form and modern society goes to pot. i know i'd go back to eating meat. i would have to, in order to survive. right now im vegetarian (and have been for 14 years) because i dont like the way animals are bred to die, and also the fact that meat is part of a now dead carcass really creeps me out. (which would be something i'd have to get over in the event of, i dunno, the end of the world haha :P)i hope i answered your question. i don't like crue! lty to animals, is the long and short of it. i understand that meat is necessary, even though i don't choose to eat it myself. and i believe that if you do choose to eat meat, you should source it as responsibly as you can....Show more

Roosevelt Pendill: I believe that human primates who hunt with guns or "trophy hunt" in general are cowards and bullies at their core. Hunting for food though is something that all animals do, in one way or another.

Houston Venezia: This link should answer your question. If you want to know more specifically what is in a particular brand, I suggest you read the ingredients. http://www40.pair.com/rstevens/soyfoodsdescription...

Nikita Schroepfer: All!

Charissa Bichsel: soya and lactic acid (non dairy)and preservatives you need to keep it from going off and stop in going runny*Lactic acid is what makes the soya milk, into curds and whey, it's made by an enzyme

Randa Hessell: U could work at as sald blace or u can ! become a vet

Sammy Kar: I don't condone hunting for any reason.Hu! nting for sport is just horrible, it's literally the only section of our society in which you're not considered a complete PSYCHO for murdering forest critters. And I can hardly find any "sport" in blowing away an animal with a highly advanced slug-throwing weapon. Calling it a "sport" implies that all participants are willing. Hunting for food is just dumb unless you have to do it. If you have access to a gun and ammunition, you probably have access to a marketplace where they sell fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, seeds, grains and processed food. I understand if some people HAVE to hunt for food, but that's not the case for the vast majority of people. It's no better than factory farms. It's killing and using an animal without needing to. Hunting for eco-preservation is archaic. We have sterilization methods that can keep animal populations down without us having to shoot them in the face. BQ: Nope, it's all killing. I think it's LESS cruel to have a farm that isn't overcrow! ded or to fish from a stream in the wild than factory farming as it is. But things are either ethical or unethical. Killing unless it's necessary is unethical. If I were in a situation where it was "Kill fish or die" then that would be totally acceptable....Show more

The general consesus with all of the Americans and other western expats I have communicate with, it is recommend at least $1,200.00 a month. Sure you can get by off much less, When my wife and I lived at Subic Freeport our monthly budget for everything was only $350.00 a month and we had western ementies, nice place to live with A/C 24/7, cable TV, High speed Internt and eating shrimp and steak at least once a week. For Americans or other western expats I recommend at least a minimum of $1,200.00 a month, $3,600.00 for three months. My contact information is on my web site: www.ricexpats.com I have also listed some valuable web sites that can further aid you...answers 2:Ken's answer is good for a ex-pat but we live "high" compared to local standards. from the title i assume you are talking about money you send to support. let me just say this first why a 2 bedroom apartment? to most Filipinos a 2 bedroom apartment holds 6 to 8 people. in 2005 i lived in Angeles city and rented a house 4 bedroom in a typical filipino sub division. one that was mostly occupied by middle class families, not many ex pats. Rent was 5,000 pesos , electric about 2,500, water 250. cable was a bit more about 600 pesos but with all channels.for most single people outside of Manila 12,000 pesos a month is considered a good paying job...answers 3:It's usually the a! ttractive pinay chic[k] who approaches an ugly, old, fat, hairy, creepy non-Filipino amidst a sea of attractive pinoy men, di ba?answers 4:lol!!! find it online and meet her personally..go to bora..theres a lot of hot chicks there..answers 5:The fact u r even asking that question should tell you something. Sounds like u should run for the hills. Most people there are lucky if they can make $200 a month. most don't. If she's asking for more than that then u r getting rolled. If she is working on top of what you send her then $200 should be more than enough. thats US dollars if you were wondering...or say 8000-8500 phil pesos. also how soon after you met did she start asking for $? if the first conversation included "can u help me?" especially in the first 5 minutes...scammer. I have been with a woman there for 1.5 yrs. we met in person 6 months after we met. Fell in love 10x harder after meeting in person. was every bit as sweet as she seemed online. she never once aske! d me for cash. I offered it to her to help about 4 months after we met! . she reluctanly took it. but she doesnt demand money at all. I send it when she needs it. I even told her not to bother working because sh was working 60 hrs a wek for a month and only making $150. i told her that was slave labor so now i send her $200 a month and maybe a little more every once in a while if needed, but entirely left up to me. she ever demands more bcz she just isnt that type. the other answers give u a more american lifestyle there but unless you are maried to her there is no way I could see myself sending $1200 or more to someoe halfway around the world....definitely if u havent met in person yet. Beieve me you will know instantly when you meet if she as true love for you......especially if she drags u to the mall immediately and has to have everything she sees. If you haven't spent the money to fly there.....do yourself a favor and do it before u start spending that kind of money a month. If you guys meet and u feel its right, then send $5000 a ! month if you want. your choice. you know what you can afford. first thing you need to do is get a better feel about how she feels about you. Just the fact u asked how do u spot a scammer............SCARY...I think in your heart you already know the truth. Good luck...sounds like you need it. worst case scenario you fly there and find out she isnt the one for you....there are plenty of women you can meet while you are there... either way you will enjoy the trip if nothing else....

Can a Green Iguana and a Rabbit live together peacefully?

Daren Ventrice: I do not recommend it, Both iguanas and rabbits can both be very aggressive, and they could give each other diseases that are not affected to the current species, but perhaps you could use and x-pen or NIC cubes to separate them

Armanda Hertel: I mean...what a profound question this is. I mean really! Whoever could have thought that "human supervision" would be a key ingredient in the peaceful coexistence between a Green Iguana and a (Rex) Rabbit? certainly not I. I remember the Cold War years, and I remember the famous quotation of Rodney King in 1992. Mr. King rhetorically, yet so very profoundly asked, "Can't we all just get along" You've certainly posed a thoughtful question, and I'd only suggest that you try putting both of them together. You might just find yourself answering a question thousands of years in the asking! Good luck to you...and to the (Rex) Rabbit and the Green Iguana, too! ;-) PS: I now harken back to my childhood. I had a Gre! en Iguana named Bob. Bob was a terrific, cool animal (and I'm not referring to his blood temperature, either!) and he charmed many a young lass, he did! But I can't say that I recall that I ever saw Bob charm a (Rex) Rabbit. I'll be thinking about this for days!...Show more

Global Warming?

Rhett Kaines: global warming is a natural thing, but we humans altered the environment hence the warming is hastened by leap and bounds, we should control our harmful emission to the atmosphere, we should look for alternatives, if we can do that simple thing, then we will survive.

Caroyln Ebach: The global warming is caused by scientists by just giving half details, may be one sided. They have devided world in two parts-believer and non believer in GW. Now a days the scientific research is dictated by capitalistic masters. In fact the truth is never allowed to come out which is sad enough.Just write GW in search area and lot of site names will be displayed on your screen.

Adrian Paraz: Rush announced that he has a link to over 600 sites that blame global warming for just about everything posted on his site..

Tyler Burkman: No, not as long as it can be stored.

Sena Highman: Yes

Krystal Cordovano: I didn't make the claim that it was free, Kano claimed it would be useless even if it was free.Would you refuse free electricity during the times when it is available?

Chris Wilczewski:

Charline Granes: "Are people disputing that global climate change does not exist, or that it isn't as bad as what people think?"Significant warming is a fantasy that borders on delusion! al. There is certainly a valid argument that the warming pres! ented by activists like Hansen, Jones and Mann is highly distorted and exaggerated. We are still warm compared to the little ice age and are in a relatively warm period. Saying that the fraction of a degree that has been coerced out of the record points to imminent doom would be comical if there weren't so many that swallowed that propaganda....Show more

Brock Anwar: I'd love to discuss this but I need to spend time removing all the snow that fell on my drive way.Better wear a warm coat because it's been colder than normal.

Mee Blumenfeld: No - and Kano would use it just like everyone else.

Seema Hosfeld: People who know what they are talking about dispute neither. Among published climate researchers there is universal agreement the man is causing the environment to warm. The illusion of dispute comes only from those who are ignorant of science and/or those too afraid of what they see as political costs to admit the reality. (The hope that if the just! scream "liberal scientists" enough, their daughters and grand daughters will somehow be able to deal with the problem.)Among scientists and those who follow the research, there is no dispute the AGW is real None....Show more

Ginny Trickett: It does have a proper name; it's just that you 'copy/paste scientists' reject it.

Rosalyn Olivera: Human made global warming is a fact, not something you can beleave or not beleave.Read the thousands articles in this forum, please, and stop this endless global warming questions!

Len Dalba: In this debate it's hard to get a fact that is'nt disputed. Good science is about undisputable fact, you will notice how defensive (and aggresive) pro climate warming experts are, tells its own story.

Darren Heling: I'll believe it when I see it for myself. In the meantime I don't need my utilities to go up by 60% like they are doing in Australia. The start of global taxes.

Nicolas Cooley: I am fairly ignorant about the ! subject of global climate change. But from an unbiased point of view, l! ogic would suggest global climate change is real. Co2 is a green house gas, (this is true), and humans pump it into the atmosphere in many different ways. So are people disputing that Co2 is a green house gas or are they simply simply saying global climate change is real, but the affects are not as severe as most scientists suggest? Roosevelt Pendill: No, it's not useless. I use electricity when the sun shines and the wind blows, so if it is free, that's great. Also, electricity can be stored - batteries, etc. I'm all good with solar and wind power.

Giovanna Sherlin: i cant really add to what has been said above except to say the UN GEO - 4 report released in October 2007 is a good up to date source of information on GW, just type in GEO-4 in the search engine and download free summary. It has a very realistic outlook on the future and states scientific facts only.

Sammy Kar: no

Zulema Baccam: Right now, i! t is unknown. Scientists are just feeding us stuff that may not be true. We might not be causing it. It may be just a change in the earth. Those things are normal. Here's something funny- You know how the ice caps are melting, well for some reason, the south pole is bigger that ever. That just goes to show you that scientists dont tell us everything, do they!

Joie Libutti: If you want credible answers from people who actually know what they're talking about, this is not the website to ask this question. I am thoroughly disappointed in the blatant ignorance I've seen in this section. Global Warming isn't a belief, it isn't a theory, and it ISN'T an opinion. It's a fact and it's happening. It hasn't been happening since the beginning of time how it is today. People are making it exponentially worse. And we CAN do something about it. The effects are as! severe as the scientists say, but people are too scared to believe it ! so they develop conspiracy theories so that they can make themselves feel better and not have to get off their ignorant butts to do anything about it. I'm guessing that a majority of the people in this section got their "knowledge" from anti-government articles, articles that dispute facts simply for the pleasure or arguing, and things like that that have no real credible base in factual data. If you want real answers and real facts, check a credible website. Or schedule an appointment at your local college with a environmental science professor. Mahalia Brindle: People put a lot of things in the atmosphere. That doesn't mean it is causing the climate to change significantly. Most skeptics understand that climates vary naturally. The climate has always changed. Only alarmists attempt to lie about that. You have Hansen, Mann, and numerous others that attempt to hide natural climate variation by usi! ng cherry picked proxies which make it look like previous warm and cool periods were less so. They then created a hockey stick with this selected data which makes it look like climate was stable until recently. It goes against geologic and human history.Dana pathetically attempts to suggest that those who are skeptical of his dire conclusions are somehow akin to flat earthers or holocaust deniers. Barrett Alosa: No, I wouldn't turn down free elec! tricity. However, the way your question is worded is not practicle. Ger! many tried this and factories had to temporarily shut down. Even in the remote regions in Africa they need fossil fueled generators for their clinics and hospitals. In order for society to function properly, you need constant and reliable power. If you ever had any executive experience in running a manufacturing facility, you would realize that plant efficiency relies upon constant power. Could you imagine people showing up for work at 7:00 and had to wait until clouds disappeared or the wind started to blow? That factory could not compete with a factory that had constant power. Besides, it was Testla's dream to provide free and plentiful electricity to everyone. He was abruptly shut down in many ways. There is just too much money to be made from supplying power.

Jayson Brod: Exactly - The one I love is that so-called "global warming" causes more weird or extreme weather without ever quantifying what those words mean. But it's expected when dealing with a subjective! "science" like so-called "global warming"

Dwight Siniard: I don't really have any resources, this is acumulated knowledge from environmental science classes i've been taking in college, so i hope it helps, at least a bit.global warming is believed to occur naturally; however, ever since the industrial revolution, the presence of greenhouse gases such as CO2 (carbon dioxide; the burning of fossil fuels & deforestation), CH4 (methane; cow farming or mining), and CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons; completely artifical and are created by humans; emitted by refridgerators and air conditioners) have all increased (measured in parts per million) in the atmosphere thus increasing global warming at an alarming rate....Show more

Emile Midgley: Both. You can find people who will argue anything. There are literally people who still argue that the planet is flat. http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/A large percentage of people don't believe in evolution, either. But public opinion doesn't dictate reality, and science isn't a democracy. Arlen Decorte: There is no pie in the sky and no such thing as a free lunch.

Lucrecia Laurito: Wind and solar can be made work if you have multiple systems. If one wind farm isn't generating much power, another probably will be if it's located somewhere else. In the case of my own country, Ireland,! this isn't the case because the country is small with a fairly uniform geography, but would be the case in a nation the size of the US, for example. One of the other aspects that we often forget is that energy is something that can be bought and sold. Throughout the EU, when excess wind or solar power is generated, it's fed off to other nations. Ireland and the UK share an interconnect, as do the Nordic countries, and various nations throughout the continent. There are plans in Europe for a 'super grid' which would partially solve the sort of problem you're talking about. So, a lot of the benefits of solar and wind will only be available when we have proper trans-national grids.

Marita Stadick: Both, it depends on the level of ignorance. The totally ignorant claim climate change does not exist, the moderately ignorant claim it will have no ill effects. They are both totally wrong

Patricia Bolduc: Both Solar Voltaic Arrays and Wind Turbines require a storage unit! (Batteries or connection to a Public Power Grid) to provide power when! the Sun doesn't shine and the Wind won't blow. Both also cost so much that there is no economic advantage to the individual user. In almost every system evaluated, it is less expensive to purchase power off of the Grid than to install a Solar or Wind power system. By the time the cost of the system is depreciated over the life expectancy of the system, the individual home owner or user, has lost money. That evaluation does not include the cost of maintenance for the system during the life expectancy of the system. The cost of the maintenance will increase the amount of money the user has lost.

Derrick Cacioppo: It is true that CO2 is a greenhouse gas. It is also true that it is a gas that is required for life on earth. You also need to consider that the carbon being released into the atmosphere was absorbed from the atmosphere at some point in time. The questions is has man tipped the scales enough to make the levels increase faster than the earth can absorb it.Gl! obal climate change has been going on since the beginning of time. The science says the earth has been much cooler and much warmer. It is cyclical. Have we disrupted the balance? I seriously doubt it. Should we be more cautious about what we pump into the air we have to breath? Absolutely....Show more

Russel Gajate: It depends what you mean by "free"?Sunlight and wind are "free" but so is coal, gas, oil, wood etc. In all cases, the cost comes from designing, making, installing and connecting the equipment that does the conversion. As a metaphor, think how useful it would be if Disney World was free during the night. You could take the family round for nothing. Then factor in the fact that the opening time would be unknown - you would just have to stand in line until it opened. You could be queuing but it might not open that night. Then add the constraint that you could never tell how long it would be open for: All night, an hour, 10 minutes etc.You might be lucky or you might be stuck far from the exit when the power went off and the place closed. This is why energy storage is required t! o make "free" energy useful. It would add to the cost of the free energy, though. That way you can store the intermittent energy and use it in a controlled way later on.

Alternative to fossil fuels?

Samatha Nicar: Biofuels (biohydrogen, bioethanol. biodiesel), or solar power.

Bryant Chaudhry: Bio-diesel is probably the most efficient currently, since the delivery system is already in place ( fueling stations ). It is only the near absence of cars which are designed to use it that hinders its becoming an actual replacement for gasoline/gasohol.

Lu Tiner: Solar or wind could be used to generate the electricity.

Coy Tapley: For almost every conceivable alternative to fossil fuels, even some that may not work, you can go through the index here: http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory There are even articles on fossil fuels. My favorite alternative to make electricity is the solar chimney. It is essentially a solar concentrator that makes its own wind. Because it naturally stores heat it works day and night. A pilot plant was economical from the day it was built.2 The main expense is the chimney and this can be floated (3) or made using a vortex (4! .) Given cheap environmentally sound electricity in our grids it then becomes the "fuel" of choice for our transportation in electric vehicles. These can be many different types from the commonly discussed Battery Electric Vehicles. The best option would be the Online Electric Vehicle (OLEV) also known as "electrified roadways." The electric platform has proven performance and environmental credentials. Induction pickups would make it safe and overall the cost would be less than lots of vehicles with expensive batteries. see:http://electric-vehicles-cars-bikes.blogspot.com/2...http://green.autoblog.com/2009/08/28/solar-roadway...http://faculty.washington.edu/jbs/itrans/reynoldsf...http://www.evworld.com/article.cfm?storyid=821...Show more

Randolph Lozoya:

Rana Rudell: There are tons of them. It just depends how much more you want to spend for them and how much harder it is to find them.

Michel Mccaulley: There is many alternatives to fossil fuels. The one I see standing out for auto at least is electricity produced thru green means like wind power, geothermal, or power from the sun. Most likely a combination of many sources will be needed to ween us off of fossil fuels.

Nicolasa Henke: Human Excrement.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-10881...

Rosalyn Olivera: energy is wasted with each conversion. charging a battery powered car means that you are converting electrical energy into chemical energy and back again. The waste depends how fast you are charging/ discharging it, and how much it cools before use. in bitter cold, a batt! ery can lose half its charge. I'd expect 50% - 70% of the energy is wasted. It's not so much efficient, as it is cost effective, only as long as most electricity comes from low cost sources like coal or nuclear. Hydrogen is made from natural gas, by a "reformer", which removes the carbon atoms and releases them as CO2, but without getting any usable energy . Hydrogen could be made by electrolyzing water, but electrolysing means : to connect wires to each end of a tank of water, and plug them in. Uses a lot of electricity. Unless congress repeals the second law of thermodynamics (which tells us that converting energy into other forms is wasteful) I don't expect Electric or hydrogen will ever be more affordable than it is right now. Converting electrical generation to wind and solar will be more expensive, not less. Subsidies only serve to conceal the true cost from dumb people....Show more

Hope Lundmark: Electric cars are battery operated no fuel needed. Fuel i! s only used as a supplemental power source in which case it would not b! e a truly 100% electric vehicle.

Rosalyn Olivera: coal will be 50% of the fuel, making electrict cars coal burners. AND no you can't just up and say, oh, there is a wind farm 2000 miles from my car, so its wind. It all goes on a grid, and its all mixed. You can't even say you pay extra for solar because not one solar energized electron makes it to your house.

Buster Exline: have you tried gatorade great fuel!

Kellie Waycott: The only one is hydrogen on demand cars from Japan. It's already in production. Water in and water vapor out. No pollution.

Idell Mulliniks: A thousand slaves pedalling bicycles connected to generators.

Rivka Killmer: Either way; battery, coal, corn, it will take natural resources to fuel a car. The same as gas. Our natural resources are not going to last forever.

Horace Escue: drinking too much so that you cannot drive.

Azalee Ahrendes: water, rubbish, electrics and soler power

Fritz Sisomphou: Every ! year your power company should send you a notice saying what your power is made of. Scroll down and you'll see one for PG&E (notice over half is carbon-free). http://www.pge.com/mybusiness/myaccount/explanatio...Here's one for Sacramento CA http://www.smud.org/en/community-environment/Docum...Now, if you're charging an electric car, you'll usually be charging at night. That means there won't be solar power, but that's a tiny fraction of the power mix. So whatever your power mix label says is probably pretty accurate. You can of course spend a little extra and buy renewable power, if you want....Show more

Dana Russian: Solar power, its renewable, as well as corn (I believe its called e-84 ethanol...but Im not positive.))

Rona Ising: Even though there is a lot of tons of them they are REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to find than a mineral...

Dorine Nurre: whether it be gas or electricity, it is going to take natural resources to fuel a car.

Davida Gisrie! l: Fuel for cars could include ethanol produced from nearly anything be! sides corn since corn is a terribly inefficient way to make ethanol. Compressed natural gas is already viable and less polluting than gasoline. Electric cars will likely run on batteries until we have a better storage means, possibly super-capacitors. They'd be charged from the grid which could include solar, wind and tidal power plants but we'd either need massive electrical storage for times when those sources don't suffice, or we could build geothermal, hydroelectric or nuclear power plants to fill the gap since those sources are always on.We could also develop solar power satellites in high Earth orbit which would mean they are never obscured by clouds and almost never by the Earth's shadow. We'd then use microwave or another transmission method to get that electricity to Earth stations. Without the atmosphere to reduce the energy such a satellite would be extremely efficient and would produce power at a small fraction of a coal-fired power plant once the initial costs ! are recovered....Show more

Jannie Ariola: No, this expired on December 31, 2009. Here is a blog post addressing this tax credit from altfuelsnow.com:http://altfuelsnow.com/wordpress/2009/12/23/hurry-...Good luck!...Show more

Violette Vanek: Biofuels or oil which is obtained from the Jatropha fruit. The seeds in this Fruit is 37% oil and do not produce very much carbon dioxide !!! It is already very commonly used in India .

Irving Jordahl: are you joking? a hybrid

Ninfa Aronica: I would have to say algae diesel. Diesel engines already exist and can be purchased anywhere, and they get better mileage than a gas engine. The infrastructure is in place. Diesel pumps are in most gas stations.Algae creates oxygen when growing. This offsets the carbon produced when burning.Algae can be grown anywhere and use brackish water. The cost of building plants is far less than drilling for oil.The only downside is that the cost per gallon is high ri! ght now....Show more

Particia Thorton: It could be any of the mea! ns we have for generating electricity. Coal, oil, natural gas, hydro-electric, nuclear are all currently in use. Wind generated electricity is becoming more common. Maybe someday, photo-voltaic will be added to the mix.

Susan Rambo: Don't feel too bad, the golf cart sellers were gaming the credits, and really jacking the price on the NEV models to where you were still paying for the cart. Part of the law said you had to buy from certain dealers, not just anyone, and you had to pay full retail that was made to where you paid a bit more than you would have before the tax break. It's still cheaper to buy a used or refurbished cart, make it street legal--lights (including blinkers-brakes), and rear view mirror. The kits cost about $200. The cart will cost you about $900, the Club Car is probably the easiest to convert. The Easygo and Yamaha just below. It will cost about $200 to title and inspect. For a little extra you can also jack it up and put ATV wheels on it. A ne! w NEV these dealers were charging were anywhere from $4000 to $7500....Show more

Luke Gacusan: Anything that can be burned or stored to create energy. The only reason none of these are used is because oil is big business, corrupt and pay off corrupt governments which is pretty much all government. Even the U.S.

Jesse Pirieda: Well, if it were up to me, I'll make it so you charge your car from home. However, it would come straight from a solar panel or wind turbine. It depends on the area of the home, the resources.
