Morris Cuomo: The longest non-stop flight by a piston-powered aircraft was, I believe, a round-the-world flight by Dick Rutan and Jeanna Yeager in Voyager, an airplane designed expressly for that flight by Burt Rutan, built at his facility in Mojave, California. The flight launched from, and recovered at, Edwards Air Force Base in California. I don't remember the year, offhand, but believe it was in the late 1980s. The flight was non-stop and non-refueled, using only the fuel on board at takeoff.
